Partnering with 25 ‘First Class’ Margaret River wineries, the festival runs from 25th October 2016 – 15th February 2017 alongside a campaign  encouraging consumers to post a picture of themselves enjoying Margaret River wine with the hashtag#margaretriverfirstclass for the chance to win a series of prizes.

Across Singapore, a range of ‘First Class’ venues will help to share the love for the region by ensuring that their cellars are fully stocked with the best Margaret River wines. Some will also hold exclusive one off events in partnership with wineries, ranging from exclusive wine-matching dinners to light-hearted wine ‘battles’. Participating venues include:

The main prize draw takes place on 15 February 2017 and features return flights via Singapore Airlines for two people from Singapore to Perth; three nights’ luxury accommodation; a full day wine tour; dining experiences; caving and more.

Regular mini-prize draws will also take place on a fortnightly basis throughout the campaign period, with lucky winners being rewarded with event tickets for the iconic Leeuwin Estate outdoor concert, cases of award-winning boutique wine and a stay at the beautiful Margarets Beach Resort.

Woody Nook Wines Multi-award winning premium red and white wines, delicious food, unique gifts, great value and a charming setting. The land now occupied by the Woody Nook Wines estate was formerly home to a sawmill and sleeper cutters. In 1978 Jeff and Wynn Gallagher, wishing to make a change from their floor-covering business in Perth, purchased the property with a vineyard in mind and began the arduous task of clearing and preparing the land. The first cuttings were planted in 1982 and the first crush took place in 1987, the first winery building havi ng been built the year before. The Gallaghers constructed this and their new home from timber and ram med mud brick, both materials being available on the property. There are still about sixt y acres of jarrah and marri forest forming a magnificent backdrop to the winery and restaurant. Peter and Jane Bailey became the proud new owners in May 2000 when at the end of 1999 Jeff and Wynn decided to retire to Busselton and put Woody Nook on the market. Neil Gallagher, stayed on as Winemaker/Viticulturist and continues to produce world class wines, none more so than the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon that bears his family name – Gallagher’s Choice.

Arimia is a boutique winery located in Willyabrup in the northern quarter of the Margaret River Region, built by the Spencer-Washbourne family and friends. The story of how Arimia evolved is a remarkable tale of a couple passionate about wine and their journey to create their own working vineyard. Working alongside their friends and family, they have developed award winning wines and positioned themselves as a key contenders in the Australian boutique wine market.

Cape Grace Wines One of the great little wineries of Margaret River. Growing under the house flag of a pioneering South West Family the Karri- Davies, whose family have been part of the South West since 1875, located a stones throw from the stars of the Wilyabrup Valley lies Cape Grace’s carefully tended vineyard from which unique, boutique, hand crafted wines are made. Cape Grace produces less than 2000 cases of wine. In 1996 Robert and Karen Karri-Davies planted their 15 acre vineyard on the headwaters of the Willyabrup Valley.
