Robert Williams, British Airways’ head of Asia Pacific sales said, “We are thrilled to announce our special NATAS fares this year. South America is still a less travelled continent for Asian travellers. Visitors to this part of the world will find relatively unspoiled natural beauty along with the bustling city activities.
“It’s undeniable that Brazil’s second largest city has an edge. You won’t be disappointed by the awe-inspiring sight of Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Mountain or sweeping sands of Copacabana and Ipanema. And beyond its sparkling façade, you’ll discover the city’s frozen-in-time churches, urban rainforests and a fascinating creative heritage. Carnival may only happen once a year, but its spirit never fades. Let the sounds of the dance halls, bars and open-air cafés awaken you and the delightful cuisine tantalise your taste buds.
Discover heavenly beaches, adorned with equally heavenly bodies or absorb the city’s bohemian vibe around the shops, eateries and drinking spots of Santa Teresa,” Williams added.
British Airways operates two daily flights between Singapore and London and a daily flight to Sydney. All flights to Europe, North and South America will connect via London Heathrow Terminal 5, the airline’s award-winning home which is exclusive to customers of British Airways and its sister airline Iberia. In 2016, the terminal was named by Skytrax as the World’s Best Airport Terminal for the fifth consecutive year.
