Johnnie Walker, the world’s number one best-selling Scotch whisky, announces the launch of the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish. This is the second and latest innovation in the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch portfolio, following the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Red Rye Finish.
Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch features a series of experimental Scotch whiskies that challenge tradition and divulge on the unfaltering pursuit of flavour and blend that has driven the small but skilled team of expert blenders at Johnnie Walker for over 200 years.
Inspired by the time master blender Dr Jim Beveridge, whose personal journey of creating whisky dating back over 40 years ago, spent blending bourbons and ryes in Kentucky in the 90s, Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish advances the art of blending like never before.
Extracted from over 200 whisky samples, aged in first-fill bourbon casks and finished for up to six months in former rye casks, this latest blend is full-bodied and warming with an exceptional honeyed sweetness, featuring whiskies from five distilleries including Dufftown and the now closed Port Dundas.

Alongside the launch of the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish, Diageo has engaged Kino Soh, owner and bartender of local bar, Highball, as its Brand Ambassador for the Johnnie Walker portfolio. Starting her career as a barback, Kino has made her name for herself in the industry through stints at FRESH!, co-founding Hopscotch bar and was most recently a finalist in the Singapore edition of Diageo World Class 2016. Highball is an amalgamation of her talent as a bartender and savviness as a business woman. Her decision to open Highball has driven her to step out of her comfort zone and turn her passion into a flourishing business – the true embodiment of ‘Keep Walking’.
Available from 2nd March 2017 onwards, this fresh Limited Edition Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish is available at speakeasy bars, specialist retail outlets and select ecommerce sites.
