Overview of Event Highlights

Cocktail enthusiasts have the opportunity to partake in this week-long celebration of local cocktail culture through a diverse line-up of events during #SGCocktailWeek.  The Singapore Bar Awards (SGBA), established in 2014 by industry veteran Tron Young, returns for the second year as an affiliated event of #SGCocktailWeek. The winners will be selected through a tally of votes from 100 Singapore-based bartenders, spirits importers, journalists and influencers, with the results to be announced on 8 March 2015. Categories include Best Male Bartender, Best Female Bartender, Best Bar, and the new categories of Best Bar Food and Best Service Crew, amongst others. Cocktail enthusiasts can also sign up for cocktail workshops, which will be hosted and conducted by participating bars. With sessions for trade and for the public, these workshops provide insights into the craft of cocktail-making. Led by industry experts, cocktail tours will bring one into the world of spirit-forward cocktails. Fashioned like a bar-crawl, each tour will have pit stops at different bars where guests enjoy a cocktail at each stop. A variety of pop-up bars will also be appearing throughout the festival, with details and locations to be disclosed closer to the festival.
