Drawing from its roots of authentic French and local Chinese cuisines, Racines’ Mother’s Day Family Brunch on 12 May 2019 offers dishes that will delight the whole family. Executive Chef Jean-Charles Dubois and Executive Chinese Chef Andrew Chong have combined their culinary expertise to create a Magnifique Sunday Brunch featuring a scrumptious melange of French, International and refined local Chinese delicacies. A unique take on the iconic Chili Crab is served instead with slipper lobsters, stir-fried to a firm perfection. Meanwhile, Seafood Laksa with a creamy broth teeming with sweet prawns punctuates the more traditional Singaporean fare alongside freshly grilled beef and chicken satay.
Mums are in for a treat with an array of fresh seafood including pan-seared Atlantic Sea Scallops that melt in the mouth and chargrilled Rock Lobsters and Langoustine prepared before her eyes at the open kitchen. Mums and kids alike can indulge their sweet tooth at Executive Pastry Chef Sam Leong’s live station, where fresh toasted Croissant Waffles can be enjoyed with a dazzling array of condiments and homemade marmalades. Also featured are Crêpes Suzettes – a French favourite topped with an inviting scoop of melting mascarpone crème.
Other mouthwatering treats on the expansive buffet include supremely tender cuts of Black Angus Beef Cheek, braised lovingly in red wine alongside confit pearl onions, and herb-roasted Wagyu Beef Hanging Tenders carved upon request. Vegetable lovers will enjoy the hearty yet nutritious baked Cauliflower Gratin, topped with cheesy mornay sauce and perfectly poached eggs served alongside a dollop of tarragon béarnaise and Black Forest ham.
Buffet staples such as the iced seafood atelier, selection of charcuterie and cheeses, and Racines’ impressive dessert station will be present as well.
